Project Title: IB method for interacting bubbles close to soft matter

Objectives: (1) Develop a numerical code based on the finite difference (FD) method and coupled with the immersed boundary method (IBM) which can deal with many mutually interacting bubbles in an acoustic field with superimposed flow and also with soft and flexible material. (2) Study the dynamics of interacting and acoustically driven bubbles close
to soft material and compare the results to accompanying well-controlled experiments; derive macroscopic models for practical bio-engineering applications.

The recruited ESR will be enrolled in a PhD programme. In addition to his/her individual doctoral project, the recruited ESR will benefit from a dedicated training programme comprising an integrated curriculum of local and network wide training activities related to the development of scientific knowledge and the enhancement of transferable skills.

The successful candidate will receive a financial package including mobility and family allowance (if applicable), and will be employed according to the rules for Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) in a EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Innovative Training Networks (ITN).
