(Ultrasound Cavitation in sOft Materials)
Host Institution: Institute of Cancer Research, London, UK
Supervisor: Prof. Gail ter Haar/ firstname.lastname@example.org
Project Title: Characterization of tissue mimicking materials
Objectives: (1) To characterize and derive mathematical formulations of the main properties of main tissue types (e.g. adipose tissue, kidney tissue, blood vessels etc.); (2) To develop tissue mimicking materials with properties similar to the aforementioned tissues, to be further used for experiments and characterise their properties, to be used by numerical simulations of other ESRs.
The recruited ESR will be enrolled in a PhD programme. In addition to his/her individual doctoral project, the recruited ESR will benefit from a dedicated training programme comprising an integrated curriculum of local and network wide training activities related to the development of scientific knowledge and the enhancement of transferable skills.
